What is the most interesting Christmas decoration you ever owned?
What is the best way to spend Christmas eve?
Something nice to eat and drink on the table. All you need is love (Dutch annual love/reunite show) and perhaps after if there is still energy left to burn, Love Actually.
When does the Christmas spirit kick in?
Not at one focused point. It just takes and claims me.
Would you rather have a white Christmas or spend it on the beach somewhere?
Definitely a white christmas!
Real Christmas tree or a artificial one?
Well, since I am a neat freak and struggle with some form of OCD my choice would be a artificial one, however if I was a bit more mellower wired most assurdely a real tree.
The true meaning of Christmas …?
To enjoy each other, feel safe and loved, to feel cosy together. At peace and do something all enjoy.
Favorite Christmas movie?
Well this is a shared place, Love Actually and The Holiday, don’t make me choose!
Describe your favorite holiday meal?
I don’t really have one. I have to say I am not one for fancy or formal settings- too much social anxiety. I really do enjoy a informal cosy setting, buffet style, so the focus lays on conversations and a low key enjoyment of the food.
If you would travel anywhere for the holidays, where would you go?
London.
Do you prefer white or multi-colored Christmas lights?
Well, here we will travel back to the way my brain functions haha, so the answer for my home would be white. But, however- (again!) I really love the color lights as well, just not anywhere near my own home.
Your top-tier Christmas wish this year?
A relaxing day, filled with love, enjoyment, good food and drinks and go to bed content after a day well spend.
If you got trapped in a holiday movie which one would you choose?
The holiday, Jude Law- do I really need to say more?
Have you ever gotten drunk on Christmas?
Yes. And that is all you’ll be getting!
Do you think “ugly sweaters” are actually ugly?
Haha no! Especially when men wear these, don’t know it just does something, stirs if you will, don’t come at me!
Do you have a Christmas-themed wallpaper on your phone or computer?
No.
Do you find Christmas gift wrapping a hassle?
No. I actually enjoy wrapping, it’s meditive- auto pilot, relaxing. And my little girl get’s some sort of asmr vibes from it- so that’s also something I treasure.
At what age did you stop believing in Santa?
He ain’t real?! Haha, sorry lame joke, around 5 years.
Are you a fan of snow?
Hell yes! Last night we had the first snow fall here in the Netherlands. It was short lived and gone to quickly, but I really love- loveeeee snow! Not sure exactly what appeals me so, but it has some romanticism about it, the world becomes all still and quiet, under a blanket of snow there is stillness to be found- (together).
